I started Invisalign a few days ago, due to minor correction of the lower teeth. The lower teeth have three attachments but the upper teeth do not have any. The upper teeth are perfectly straight. Does the upper aligner serve any real purpose? I’m not sure how the upper teeth can be affected since there is no anchor point for movement. My dentist doesn’t have clear answer to it.

do you know what function does two wires that connect to the last 4molars on the upper teeth do? and why do i have my braces top and bottom upto my last molar .. im a bit confused and the dentist didnt explain this? I have self ligating braces.. the thing looks like an expander but i know its not cause it cant be tightend by me like regular expanders

Does anyone know what the least amount you can pull a tooth up or down with braces? Is is a few milimetres? An answer from someone who knows would be much appreciated!

My frontal incisor and cuspid in front of my lateral incisor. This means one of my teeth are pushed behind the others. What kind of options do I have with braces? How long does something this drastic take to fix?

I only need to straighten my bottom teeth, and my dentist recommended Invisalign. I was given a rough quote of $5000, but I don’t think this was customized to my case. Does anyone know if Invisalign costs less if you only fix the top or bottom teeth, or is it $5000 always? Also, my insurance says it covers 50% of orthodontics but doesn’t mention Invisalign. Anyone have experience with this? Thanks!

I have fixed orthodontics and two micro implants in my upper jaw. Does this rule out the electrotherapy facial treatments?
