Hey, I was wondering what the pain difference is on a scale of 1 and 10 with invisalign and regular braces because I might get them soon. Does anyone know?

My son had a rapid palatal expander with problems so with my daughter I am thinking of going to an orthodontist who uses the Damon system (self-ligating braces). Their website/video of teeth straightening is impressive. Anyone have experience with it or poor results? I know everything in life seems to have a cost/benefit or risk.

My daughters friend got her braces on Monday and had the colorful bands on her when she came out. My daughter will not get her bands until later. Just curious why one does and the other does not. Does it depend on the work being done? My daughter has to have much more work than her friend.

I want to get Invisalign. I am willing to spend a little more to get a good orthodontist. How can I go about finding a good one?

Whats the difference? Why don’t they just get the regualr front braces? Braces don’t look bad and lingual braces makes you talk funny and proabably harder to brush and maintain and your tounge would hurt more since its always trouching the braces?
Whats the diffrence?

Hi, I was wondering after 1-2 years of invisalign, when the treatment is done, do you have to wear the night retainer forever? And do people with braces have to wear a retainer after they get through with treatment?

Im getting clear sapphire braces in 2 weeks time. Because they are clear my orhtodontist says I need to come in for appointments more frequently – every 5 weeks or so. Thats not the problem, the brackets are not self ligating and so he’ll have to put elastics and stuff on them, and I heard that hurts.
Can anyone tell me what happens at the checkups and how much it hurts? And how soon will I notice my teeth moving?

Will our teeth become more prone to caries or hypersensitivity or any others diseases or side effects after the orthodontics treatment ?

Have a preteen that may be getting them for her impacted teeth but parents have never had braces. Estimate of monthly cost would be helpful. Any info you provide would be appreciated. Thanks

I hate my teeth (although many people tell me they look fine) BUT i would like to get them as straight as they can be, and being older now (18) and in university, i don’t want the wire and bracket braces. BUT i was wondering if Invisalign will actually broaden my arches as well. Please help!
